It started in 1999 as Astral Entertainment, founded by Brian Quarfoth and Matt Chambers, started making computer games for a short time and managing to get them published. It was run by Garth Thompason and Jerry Belich (CEO of Monkey with a Mustache) later joined as the VP. Years later Jerry and Brian purchased the company from the CEO, Garth Thompson, and started Monkey with a Mustache Entertainment, Inc. For years it’s purpose has been a bit scatter-shot, doing freelance videography work, animation, custom application development, puppets, and more! Our mission has always been the same though; to entertain!

I guess I am the founder from a legal “State of Minnesota” perspective, since I incorporated the company. However, Brian and Matt Chambers are the real founders in the sense that they came up with the name and Brian started making games first. Brian and Matt both independently claim they came up with the name “Astral Entertainment”.
Gotcha. One of those details that for me was lost in time! I’ll let Brian go down as the guy that came up with Astral Entertainment, since I know him much better.
